Last week I got an email from an adorable mother of twin girls named Shelby. She just happens to be an amazingly gifted artist, and she also happens to listen to our podcast. In fact, she wrote to thank me for the podcast because she listens to it while she works on her art.
Shelby wanted to send me a gift of one of her art prints, and it arrived today. Talk about happy mail! I couldn’t wait to show it to y’all. I have the perfect spot in mind for this cheery little piece, but I couldn’t even wait to get it framed and placed there before I showed it off!
Isn’t it just lovely? Shelby has an Etsy shop, and not only does she make scripture prints, she does all kinds of custom orders. I wonder what it’s like to be able to pick up a pen and hand letter something like this? Amazing!
Go and check out her shop if you get a chance. One thing having a blog has taught me is that God has gifted so many people in the church with so many incredible gifts. And, can I remind you of one thing, in case you forgot? The church is absolutely filled to the tip top with kind, generous, hopeful, inspiring people. Don’t miss out on that because you are too focused to getting whatever it is you think you need. Just look around you, and notice how abundant our big, big family is with truly amazing human beings. If you love God, you have to love His bride. And, truthfully, if you stop and think about it, it’s so, so easy to do.
Many thanks to Shelby and her sweet husband for this special gift!
Thanks always for your posts Melissa it has always been a blessing…. The church is so blessed & am a testimony of how blessed the church is…
