We tried not to be quite so long-winded this week! We talk about why we don’t do sleepovers, judging, how Chad fared at dance recitals last weekend, seminary graduation, and more. Bonus: how to pick the perfect watermelon. Thanks for listening!

I was introduced to your blog a few months ago and I love it! You address hard topics and topics that need to be brought up and always hit the nail on the head. Your podcasts are probably my favorite ever though! I look forward to them every week! Chad is so hilarious! I love all his different voices and that he makes you laugh.
Thanks for doing this!

Annalie, thanks so much for your kind words and for listening! I think his ability to make me laugh has been one the secrets to our happy marriage. ๐ He will LOVE this comment, by the way. You’re now his favorite reader/listener ever! ha ha!

Melissa, how do you feel about sleepovers at the grandparents house? We don’t do sleepovers but we do let our kids spend the night with their grandparents. Just wondered what your thoughts were about this.

Hi, Jenna! I suppose every situation is different. Our kids sleep over at grandparents’ houses with their cousins. Some people don’t have stellar parents and in-laws to work with, so I would say use your best judgment. Probably most grandparents are awesome choices, and that also lets your kids feel like they’re getting the sleepover experience!

I really enjoyed it. The way Earlene would decide the best cantaloupe was if it smelled like a cantaloupe it was ripe. Always worked. Keep the podcasts coming, I enjoy hearing you guys.
