Well, our spring break has come and gone. It was one of the best weeks I remember the kids having in a long time. They played all day long with cousins, stayed up way too late, ate all of the wrong things, and laughed. They laughed a lot.
One of the highlights of our week was this pile of rock on my parents’ place, in the country outside the little Texas town where I grew up. I have no clue why this rock is there, but it is an incredibly fun playground for kids and parents alike.
Yes, apparently my family is easy to please in the way of entertainment. Some people go to theme parks. Not us! Just show us where the pile of rock is and we’ll be entertained for days.
Tomorrow it’s back to the real world. I have a feeling it’s going to be a rough wake up for everyone in the Edgington house.
I wonder if you’ve checked to see if you were a winner of Christine Hoover’s new book, From Good to Grace: Letting Go of the Goodness Gospel? Congratulations to my three big winners! If you didn’t win but know you need Christine’s book in your life, you can order it here.
I also wanted to share a Bible study resource with you. If you, like me, find that you remember and comprehend things better when you write them down, you may want to check out Journibles. These neat little black books have space for writing down each verse of books of the Bible, plus an area for taking notes on each verse. When you fill one of these babies up you have a hand-written portion of scripture on your shelf, along with your notes, which might be neat for you or your family to look back on someday. Also, writing down the scripture as you read can just be a good way to stay focused.
I hope you all have a great Monday! In case I haven’t said it in awhile, thank you so much for reading and for being some of the most encouraging people that I’ve never met in real life but I feel like I know. It’s such fun for me to be a part of this little community. Blessings!!
