If you’ve been reading my blog for awhile, you know that I am confused by fashion these days. Where do girls in their 20s, 30s and 40s shop when they’ve outgrown (no pun intended) the juniors section? There must be someplace to find something a little more modest than the tiny clothes that the teenagers wear and a little more with it than what you find in most sections for grown women in department stores.
Enter my friend Kristy Simmons and her shop, The Prim Rose Boutique. Kristy started this venture to help her friends like me, who just don’t know how to dress themselves anymore. But, what she ended up creating was a moderately priced boutique with a little something for everybody.
Here are just a few of my favorite things in her shop at the moment:

The Ivory Crochet Lace & Chiffon Vest is another vintage-style piece with a modern twist. Y’all. This adorable thing is only $20. Can you believe it?
Kristy wore this Tribal Cross Leopard Tank to work in the concession stand at the school track meet the other day. Moms in concession stands like to look cute, too!
She has all kids of cute jewelry, but I just had to show you this Turquoise Texas Necklace because I’m a little bit partial to the Lone Star State.
